We boldly aim to produce the perfect, highly productive merino. A merino that not only produces wool and meat, but a sheep that we could sell to prosper on other farms. To achieve this, we needed to produce a merino that thrives under the challenging New Zealand high country conditions. Through a careful balance of the use of science and stockmanship we are achieving our aims.

This year we have gnomically tested our whole flock, this is a further step up from the DNA parentage we have been using since the inception of the stud. Genomics has helped increase the accuracy in our selections, enabling us to balance health and
production traits, with higher confidence than ever before.
